Screw rankings, we'll settle it on the mat.

Blair Academy has owned the #1 spot in the rankings like Ohio State's Jim Tressel owns Michigan's Llyod Carr in college football. But, that might change in 2007. St. Edward outscored the Bucs in last weekends Ironman individual tournament. With St. Edward leaving th Beast of the East so they can start up their own dual meet tournament, Blair will be the heavy favorite for this weekends even held at the University of Delaware.

Everything will be fine come February 3, when Blair will head to Lakewood, Ohio to dual with St. Edward. It is just under 2 months away, but the avid wrestling fan just can't wait. Ranking teams in mid-December is like crowning the Kentuckey Derby winner after only a 1/4 mile. We have a long way to go and teams mature greatly over 2 months, come February, these teams will be in top shape and have all the technicalities worked out of their system. Blair still has the Beast of the East, the Bethlehem Hurrican Classic, Final Four of Wrestling featuring Easton, Nazareth, Hermiston, Oregon, and Bishop Lynch. They also visit the Konkrete Duals held in Northampton at the end of January.

St. Edward will wrestle Camden Catholic this weekend and a championship match-up with either Oak Park or St. Paris in their Super 8 Duals.
